Job summary

Strattmont in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Quality Lead to build and own the QA function for our blockchain infrastructure platform. You will set the test strategy, define quality standards, and drive release quality across all products.

This is not a pure management role: you will code, design automation from scratch using Playwright, integrate CI, and pioneer AI-assisted testing and risk analysis to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software testing and test automation with ownership of a QA function or product-wide QA responsibility.
• Strong automation engineering in TypeScript/JavaScript with a modern framework (Playwright).
• Active, hands-on use of AI in quality work: test generation, risk analysis, tooling.
• Solid API testing experience and ability to test backend services directly.
• Experience integrating test suites into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
• Track record of building test infrastructure from zero and driving adoption across teams.
• Comfort operating with minimal direction: defineWhatGoodLooksLike, plan, and execute.
• Fluent English; distributed team communication in writing.

Responsibilities

• Own the QA function end to end: test strategy, coverage priorities, and quality standards across all products.
• Build test automation frameworks from scratch across web and API layers; wire into CI for automated quality gates.
• Make AI a core part of the quality toolchain: AI-assisted test generation, risk analysis, and tooling.
• Own release quality: define regression baseline, triage defects, and provide go/no-go for deployment.
• Set up risk-based testing across the platform focusing on high-cost failure areas.
• Collaborate with tech leads and product management to bake quality into feature design and build processes.
• Establish defect prevention practices and act as the internal testing reference for engineers.
