JOB DESCRIPTION

Lead Project Engineer to join Wood in Sharjah, UAE. Full‑time office‑based role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the execution of project scopes, design support, and the delivery of high quality engineering deliverables while ensuring adherence to safety, budget, and schedule constraints. Drive technical strategy, mentor junior engineers, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate risk, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Execute assigned scopes of work.
  • Provide discipline expertise and technical leadership.
  • Support and supervise task delegation to the team.
  • Participate in design reviews, audits and incident investigations.
  • Maintain HSSE leadership and compliance.
  • Develop professional development plans for team members.

JOB OBJECTIVE

Contribute to technical delivery of engineering excellence by executing project scopes, providing discipline expertise, and supervising the project team.

QUALIFICATIONS

B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 15+ years of experience in major Brownfield oil & gas projects, with at least 5+ years in a similar leadership position. Experience in GCC region, Pre‑FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering is preferred.

  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Strong technical problem‑solving and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and calculation templates.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
