Job summary

AI71 is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own the end-to-end design lifecycle for our core AI-powered application. You will shape strategy with Product and Engineering, run workshops, and advocate for users throughout iterative development.

You will lead design efforts with autonomy, delivering elegant, accessible interfaces and collaborating closely with front-end developers to ensure high fidelity implementations. A strong portfolio and 8+ years of UX/UI experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product design (UX/UI) with 2+ years leading design teams.
• Portfolio showing software applications design work is essential.
• Experience designing for AI-powered products or enterprise-grade apps is a plus.
• Strong user-centered design principles and ability to articulate business impact.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
• Bachelor's or higher in HCI, Design, or related field preferred.

The Role:

As a Lead Product Designer, youll play a critical, hands‑on role in shaping and delivering cutting‑edge AI solutions that redefine industries. You will be a strategic partner, moving fluidly from high‑level product strategy to hands‑on execution, ensuring that our complex technology is accessible, elegant, and user‑centric.

What Youll Do:

• Own and Lead the Design Process: Drive the end‑to‑end design lifecycle for our core application. Where needed, you will create wireframes, mockups, and high‑fidelity prototypes that not only align with user‑centered design principles but also push the boundaries of AI interaction. You will take charge of your projects with a high degree of autonomy, leading them from conception to delivery.
• Influence Product Strategy: Act as a key partner to Product and Engineering. Use design thinking, user research, and your deep expertise to help prioritize features, balancing user needs and the business objectives.
• Align Cross‑Functional Stakeholders: Proactively communicate your design vision and the rationale behind it. You will be responsible for aligning cross‑functional (xFN) stakeholders, including product managers and engineers to drive action.
• Facilitate Collaborative Problem‑Solving: Prepare and run engaging workshops with diverse teams to translate complex user needs and project requirements into actionable design solutions.
• Champion the User through Research: Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to continuously iterate on and improve our products. You will be the unwavering advocate for the user in every conversation.
• Execute and Ship with Excellence: Work closely with front‑end developers to implement design specifications with high fidelity, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience.
• Elevate Our Design Culture: Advocate for user experience best practices and design principles within the organization. Stay updated on design trends and emerging technologies to enhance our user interfaces and help establish the design foundations at AI71.

What Youll Bring:

• Experience: 8+ years of experience in product design (UX/UI) with 2+ years leading design teams. Your portfolio showcasing previous design work on software applications is essential.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• AI & Enterprise Design: Experience designing for AI‑powered products, complex data visualizations, or enterprise‑grade applications is a great plus.
• Strategic Product Thinking: You are more than a designer; you are a product builder. You have a strong understanding of user‑centered design principles and can articulate how your work solves user problems and drives business impact.
• Research Acumen: Proven experience with usability testing and user research methodologies, and a passion for turning insights into action.
• Collaborative Influence: Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to present ideas, facilitate discussions, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Bias for Action: You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, are comfortable with ambiguity, and can drive projects forward with a high degree of autonomy.
• Education: A Bachelors or higher degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field is preferred.
