Job summary

Wood is seeking a PMC Lead Planning and Cost Engineer for the ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role will be based at the client office in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with responsibilities spanning cost control, bid evaluation, and contract administration.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Engineering, 15+ years in oil & gas, and strong PMC/ADNOC offshore experience, including large Middle East projects. Competitive benefits and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering in related discipline is required.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream offshore projects.
  • PMC experience is highly preferable.
  • Experience on large projects in the Middle East/GCC is essential.
  • ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
  • Worked on offshore projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the contractual requirements relating to cost control and estimation, invoicing, and variations per agreements (FEED, PMC, EPC).
  • Evaluate technical bids (PMC, FEED, EPC) for compliance and provide clarifications to bidders.
  • Prepare relevant portions of the Technical Evaluation Report and finalize contract documents after bulletins and clarifications.
  • Evaluate variation requests/cost submittals from consultants and prepare counters.
  • Prepare AFE/AFOU documents for ongoing projects for management approval.
  • Coordinate with PMC Project Control Managers to ensure adherence to procedures throughout the project duration.
  • Ensure costs are charged to correct account codes.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Develop the contractual requirements relating to cost control & estimation, invoicing of payment & variations to be stipulated in the Agreements (FEED, PMC, EPC etc.) and incorporate them into the tender documents/ agreement
  • Evaluate the technical bids (PMC, FEED and EPC) to ascertain compliance to the specified requirements and provide clarifications to the bidders for the same
  • Prepare relevant portion of the Technical Evaluation Report and to finalize the relevant portion of the contract documents after incorporating all bulletins issued and clarifications received during the tender stage
  • Evaluate Variation requests/ claims by contractors and to make in-depth analysis of all cost related submittal from consultants and prepare counters estimates taking into consideration contractual schedule of unit rates for variation and make appropriate recommendations to management for approval.
  • Prepare AFE/ AFOU for all ongoing projects for management approval
  • Coordinate with the Project Control Managers of all Project Management Consultant (PMC), to ensure adherence to the Project Control Procedures and other requirements throughout the project duration to achieve successful project implementation
  • Ensures charges of the costs to correct account codes

Expected
  • Bachelor of Engineering in related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry upstream offshore industry working for competitors’ organization such as Kent, KBR, Worley, Petrofac, Saipem
  • PMC experience is high preferable
  • Large projects experience is must. Middle East / GCC experience on projects with Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy, PDO, etc. is a must
  • ADNOC projects experience is mandatory
  • Worked on Offshore Projects
