Job summary

SearchPlus HR is partnering with leading UAE healthcare facilities in Abu Dhabi to recruit qualified Specialist/Consultant Pediatric Dentists. The role focuses on preventive, restorative and comprehensive pediatric dental care for infants, children and adolescents in a child-friendly environment.

You will diagnose and manage conditions, develop treatment plans, perform procedures from sealants to stainless-steel crowns, handle emergencies and coordinate care for children with special needs,

Qualifications

• BDS, DDS or equivalent recognised dental degree.
• Recognised postgraduate qualification in Pediatric Dentistry.
• Western Board Certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Post-specialisation clinical experience in pediatric dentistry.
• Strong expertise in preventive, restorative and comprehensive pediatric dental care.
• Experience managing pediatric emergencies and children with special healthcare needs.
• Eligibility for DHA, DOH Abu Dhabi or MOHAP licensing, subject to authority assessment.
• Excellent communication and child behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prevent and manage dental conditions affecting infants, children and adolescents.
• Perform comprehensive pediatric dental examinations and develop individualised treatment plans.
• Provide preventive dental care, including fluoride applications, dental sealants and oral hygiene education.
• Perform restorative procedures, including fillings, pulpotomies, pulpectomies and stainless‑steel crowns.
• Manage dental trauma, developmental dental abnormalities and complex pediatric dental conditions.
• Provide behaviour management techniques to ensure effective and comfortable dental treatment.
• Perform dental extractions and other age‑appropriate surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
• Manage children with special healthcare needs and coordinate multidisciplinary care when required.
• Educate parents and caregivers on preventive dental practices and oral health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with infection control and patient safety standards.
