Job summary

Allocation Assist Middle East seeks a Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon with expertise in transplantation to join a leading tertiary pediatric cardiac center in Abu Dhabi. You will manage surgical care for complex congenital heart defects, perform pediatric heart transplants, and lead advanced pediatric cardiac procedures for infants to adolescents.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years post-fellowship experience, Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery with pediatric subspecialty

Qualifications

• MD-level qualification in pediatric cardiac surgery.
• Board certification/fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery with pediatric subspecialty.
• Additional training/experience in pediatric heart transplantation required.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or Eligibility Letter in Cardiac Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex pediatric cardiac surgeries including congenital defect repairs and high-risk neonatal procedures.
• Lead pediatric heart transplantation programs, donor evaluation, recipient selection and post-operative care.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for pediatric cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with ICU, cardiology, anesthesia and perfusion teams for critically ill patients.
