Job summary

Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs, maintenance, and construction tasks under supervision. You will lead assigned jobs, guide junior technicians, and ensure timely completion while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience in hospitality, catering, or facility management. Strong communication and documentation skills, plus familiarity with drawings and manuals, are essential.

Qualifications

• A Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Control or Industrial Engineering from recognized college and institute.
• Minimum 3 years experience or hands on work experience in similar position in Hospitality, Catering, Facility Management or Project Management Industry.
• Having same job experience.
• Knowledgeable work and application of safety procedures or standard.
• Needs technical & analytical skills.
• Can handle decision making.
• 100 % attendance and participation to the work.
• Excellent on oral & written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all scheduled / non- scheduled repairs, maintenance, construction work under the guidance of the concerned Supervisor in the most efficient manner.
• Lead and ensure successful completion of all assigned jobs / routine maintenance works.
• Inspect and record all necessary readings on a log sheet or checklist.
• Coordinate efforts across Junior Technicians to make sure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion.
• Keep abreast on the installation procedures / documents of the new machines that are to be installed and prepare the necessary documentations.
• Communicate with supervisor on the work performed and handover jobs that are still pending before the end of the shift.
• Read and understand basic drawings, operational and maintenance manuals.
• Coordinate with the Supervisor to purchase spare parts for the job that is not completed during the shift.
• Ensure proper handling of tools and optimizes use of consumables.
• Ensure that all work activities are carried out in an efficient, professional and tidy manner before, after and during the job.
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment's (PPE's) while executing the job, always apply the safety standard.
• Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 International Standards and execute his/her responsibility according to the department work procedures reflecting EKFC Quality Policy
• Perform other duties as assigned.
