Job summary

McDermott International, Ltd in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Principal Instrumentation Designer to lead and coordinate instrument design on complex offshore projects. You will develop 3D models, create detailed drawings, and ensure design deliverables meet MDR standards while mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities include leading design teams, interfacing with other disciplines, and ensuring timely expediting of vendor data to progress the project as planned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading instrument design teams on complex projects.
• Strong ability to develop detailed instrument drawings and layouts.
• Experience coordinating across multiple disciplines and delivering on MDR procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop instrument arrangement and detail drawings for FEED and detail design.
• Develop 3D models and ensure clash-free interfaces with other disciplines.
• Ensure deliverables are issued per project specs, MDR, and procedures within schedule and budget.
• Lead small to medium Instrument Design teams and coordinate with discipline interfaces.
• Plan discipline execution, allocate resources with Engineering Manager, and maintain interfaces and schedules.
• Provide input for proposals, change management, and cost estimates.
