Job summary

Tristar Transport LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy-duty trucks and tanker trailers.

You will perform engine overhauls, gearbox repairs, and preventive maintenance while mentoring junior staff and ensuring safety and downtime reduction.

Candidates with 8+ years of hands-on experience and familiarity with Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, and Ford are preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Senior Mechanic.
• Extensive experience with heavy-duty trucks, tanker trailers, and specialized vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air-brake systems.
• Experience with Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, and Ford is preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Ability to lead junior mechanics when required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, and suspension repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential failures.
• Troubleshoot braking, steering, and cooling systems.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and manufacturer specs.
• Guide and mentor junior mechanics as needed.
