Job summary

Penspen is urgently seeking a Lead Commissioning (Telecom) for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on planning, coordinating and delivering telecom pre-commissioning and commissioning activities on a high‑profile offshore facility.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in telecom, with at least 5 years offshore, and a proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams; ADNOC Offshore exposure is a plus. You will work with engineering, construction, IT/OT and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience with at least 5+ years offshore.
• Proven experience in telecom commissioning within offshore oil and gas.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary telecom commissioning teams.
• Experience with brownfield modifications and offshore tie-ins.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, integration and handover of offshore telecom systems.
• Ensure telecom systems are installed, tested and operating per design, standards and HSE procedures.
• Interface with Engineering, Construction, IT/OT, Cybersecurity, Operations, Marine, Vendors and Client reps.
• Lead all telecom pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Develop the telecom commissioning execution strategy and align with project schedule.
• Execute telecom cutovers with minimal disruption and support offshore start-up.

Qualification Required

• The candidates should have bachelor's degree of engineering in relevant discipline from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing the pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, integration and handover of offshore telecommunications systems.


• Rnsures that all telecom systems are installed, tested, integrated and operational in accordance with approved engineering documents, project specifications, Client/Operator requirements, applicable standards and HSE procedures.


• Interfaces closely with Engineering, Construction/HUP, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, IT/OT, Cybersecurity, Operations, Marine, Vendors, Subcontractors and Client representatives.


• Lead all telecom pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.


• Develop the telecom commissioning execution strategy.


• Ensure commissioning is executed according to approved procedures and project schedule.


• Execute telecom cutovers with minimum disruption to operations.


• Support offshore start-up and operational acceptance.

Experience Required

• Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5+ years significant in offshore project.


• Proven experience in telecom commissioning within offshore oil and gas project


• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary telecom commissioning teams.


• Experience with brownfield modifications, hook-up and offshore tie-ins is strongly preferred


• Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.


• Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
