Job summary

Quality Technical Services in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Technical Manager to lead and strengthen laboratory operations, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and related standards. You will oversee QA/QC, calibration reports, uncertainty calculations, and audits while mentoring engineering and lab teams.

The role requires 5+ years of ISO/IEC 17025 experience, strong documentation skills, and UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years ISO/IEC 17025 technical and documentation experience.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ASTM, and BS standards.
• Proven expertise in laboratory QA/QC, calibration processes, and technical reporting.
• Experience with ENAS / EIAC accreditation schemes is preferred.
• Hands-on internal audits, uncertainty calculations, and compliance management.
• Bachelor’s in Instrumentation engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• UAE or GCC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ISO/IEC 17025 documentation, implementation, and compliance across laboratory operations.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ASTM, and BS standards in all technical and quality processes.
• Oversee laboratory QA/QC activities, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and consistency in calibration and testing results.
• Review, validate, and approve calibration reports, uncertainty calculations, and technical documentation.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate corrective and preventive actions to maintain accreditation requirements.
• Supervise calibration activities, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Develop, review, and update standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals.
• Support external audits, accreditation assessments, and client technical evaluations.
• Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to engineering and laboratory teams.
• Ensure effective communication with clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders regarding technical matters.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
