Job summary

Air Arabia is seeking an experienced B1 Certifying Engineer to lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring safe maintenance of aircraft in accordance with regulatory standards. The role includes Category C authorization responsibilities and supervising on-shift tasks.

Eligible candidates should note the Sri Lanka recruitment event in Colombo, mid November 2026, with shortlisting and invitation required. Strong English skills and GCAA/EASA licenses are essential.

Qualifications

• Holds /has held an EASA Part 66 or GCAA CAR 66 B1 Aircraft Maintenance License (unrestricted) and company maintenance approvals on the Airbus A320/A321.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead and guide a team of Aircraft Engineers & Technicians.
• Category C Authorization.
• Technical report writing.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)

Responsibilities

• Verify maintenance tasks carried out to required standards and direct engineers.
• Allocate tasks to B1 Engineers and Lead Technicians to meet timelines and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor progress and performance of B1 Engineers on shift.
• Provide guidance to engineers for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Provide feedback to Shift Manager on performance and development of staff.
• Escalate concerns and suggest corrective actions to Shift Managers.
• Initiate cost-saving projects within B1 scope.
• Develop skills of Technicians and orient new joiners.
• Manage human factors to protect continuity of critical maintenance tasks.
• Minimize waste and cost by avoiding duplication of work.
