Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an senior AI Engineer to lead the design and build of an agent harness that turns open-weight LLMs into production-ready agents. You will also develop a browser-automation agent to operate web apps, setting technical direction for the AI engineering team.

Expect to mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and coordinate multiple specialised agents. This role demands deep expertise in Python/TypeScript, browser automation, and AI safety, with production

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering experience, incl. 2+ years building LLM-powered apps.
Designed and built an agent harness or substantial framework in production or serious pilot.
Strong Python and/or TypeScript, with solid systems design (event loops, state machines, concurrency).
Hands-on browser automation experience (Playwright, Puppeteer, or CDP).
Deep knowledge of core AI topics and a track record of technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Design and lead the agent harness around the model, including loop, tools, and memory.
Build an agent that operates web applications using vision-language models and browser automation.
Coordinate specialised agents and ensure traceability with logs and traces.
Mentor engineers and set engineering standards for the AI team.
