Job summary

KEO International in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a Quality Assurance Inspector - Landfill Construction to oversee QA on landfill site projects, focusing on earthworks and geosynthetic installations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in landfill CQA supervision, a Civil Engineering diploma or degree, and certification as a Geosynthetic Inspector is desirable; strong English communication and willingness to travel to remote GCC sites are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in landfill construction quality assurance (CQA) supervision or related earthworks and geosynthetic liner installations.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Monitor field earthworks including excavation, filling, compaction, subgrade prep, cover material placement.
• Inspect, verify, and document incoming geosynthetic materials and certifications.
• Monitor geomembrane deployment, panel placement, alignment, and seam testing (destructive/non-destructive).
• Perform or witness air-pressure testing, vacuum box testing, and spark testing on liner seams and repairs.
• Collect seam samples for laboratory testing and compare results to acceptance criteria.
• Maintain meticulous daily CQA logs of layouts, seam tracking, test results, and earthwork points.
• Track non-conformances and verify corrective repairs are re-tested and pass.
• Prepare comprehensive CQA verification reports with drawings and test data.
