Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UAE is seeking a skilled surveyor to perform land surveys and geodetic calculations. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in road works or infrastructure projects, along with proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation. Candidates must also possess prior RTA or Dubai Municipality Survey approval and demonstrate excellent communication skills for project coordination.

Overview

Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations. Proficient in AutoCAD/MicroStation. Familiar with advanced survey equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform land/field surveys and geodetic calculations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Interface with client and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements.
• Complete surveying requirements on schedule and within man-hour and cost budgets.
• Check setting-out and levels. Check services locations and ensure their protection.
• Prepare sketches to support the field work.
• Maintain all the survey information (field books, sketches and calculations).
• Measure work done when required.
• Observe site safety procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma or associate degree in Engineering or surveying.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in road works, bridges or infrastructure projects.
• Prior RTA or Dubai Municipality Survey approval is required.
• Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software; total station data collectors and GPS equipment.
• Working knowledge of construction sequences and standard work procedures of the industry.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with contractors, inspectors and engineers.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations on construction sites.
