Rixos Hotels is seeking a dedicated educator to run robotics and coding sessions for children at the Kids Club. You will plan engaging activities, teach basic programming concepts, and guide kids through robot-building challenges.

Role requires strong teaching skills, safety awareness, and excellent English and Russian communication. Rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required to support guest experiences.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Robotics, CS, IT, Engineering or STEM Education is preferred.
• Experience teaching robotics or coding to children is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with educational robotics kits and basic programming concepts.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in an engaging, age-appropriate way.
• Good English and Russian communication skills; additional languages are a plus.

Job Description

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Robotics and Coding Education

• Plan, prepare, and conduct robotics, coding, and STEM-based activities suitable for different age groups and skill levels.
• Introduce children to basic programming concepts, logical thinking, sequencing, problem-solving, and computational thinking through interactive learning.
• Teach children to build, program, and operate simple robots using age-appropriate robotics kits, coding platforms, and educational technology tools.
• Develop creative, hands-on learning activities, including robot-building challenges, coding games, and interactive STEM projects.
• Prepare lesson plans and activity materials that encourage curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and independent thinking.
• Adapt teaching methods and activities according to children's ages, abilities, interests, and previous experience.
• Encourage children to experiment, explore new ideas, solve challenges, and learn from mistakes in a supportive environment.
• Ensure that activities are engaging, inclusive, and enjoyable for children of different backgrounds and abilities.

Child Safety and Supervision

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children participating in robotics and coding activities.
• Supervise children throughout each session and ensure that equipment, tools, and materials are used correctly and safely.
• Establish clear activity guidelines and ensure children follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and positive learning environment that respects all children.
• Follow Rixy Club registration, supervision, child protection, and emergency procedures.
• Report any accidents, incidents, behavioural concerns, equipment hazards, or safety issues promptly to the Kids Club Supervisor / Manager.

Equipment and Learning Environment

• Prepare and organize the robotics and coding area before and after each session.
• Maintain an inventory of robotics kits, computers, tablets, electronic components, coding equipment, and other learning materials.
• Check equipment regularly to ensure it is in good working condition and report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning items.
• Ensure all equipment and learning materials are stored securely and handled appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper care of the learning area.
• Inform the Kids Club Supervisor / Manager of any requirements for new equipment, software, learning materials, or replacements.

Guest Engagement and Service Excellence

• Create an enjoyable and engaging learning experience that reflects the Rixos brand standards and family entertainment concept.
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, and guardians regarding activities, learning experiences, and participation.
• Provide appropriate feedback to parents or guardians about children's activities, subject to hotel policies and parental consent.
• Encourage teamwork, collaboration, creativity, and positive interaction among children.
• Gather feedback from children and parents to identify opportunities to improve activities and services.
• Maintain awareness of Rixy Club facilities, operating hours, activities, promotions, and applicable service procedures.

Coordination and Administration

• Follow the daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedules established by the Kids Club Supervisor / Manager.
• Coordinate with the Entertainment team to integrate robotics and coding sessions into the overall children's activity programme.
• Maintain attendance records, activity reports, lesson plans, and equipment inventory as required.
• Ensure that the appropriate child registration forms and required parental consent documents are completed before participation, in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Assist in organizing special events, educational workshops, robotics challenges, competitions, and themed activities for children.
• Keep children's and families' personal information confidential and comply with applicable data protection requirements.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Kids Club Supervisor / Manager or Director of Entertainment in line with the requirements of the position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: A bachelor's degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Robotics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Education, STEM Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching robotics, coding, programming, STEM, or technology-based activities to children is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with educational robotics kits, block-based coding platforms, basic programming concepts, and hands-on STEM learning tools.
• Teaching Skills: Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate manner.
• Child Engagement: A genuine interest in working with children, with patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and strong group management skills.
• Communication: Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with the Kids Club and Entertainment teams.
• Safety Awareness: Understanding of child supervision, equipment safety, and appropriate safeguarding practices.
• Language Skills: Good English and Russian communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
