Job summary

Private Client in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Cook to prepare Khaleeji meals for a private company. The role requires following instructions, moving efficiently in the kitchen, and multitasking to deliver well-prepared dishes.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Khaleeji cuisine, experience with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware, and a strong emphasis on sanitation, teamwork, and physical stamina. A culinary diploma is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook.
• Knowledge of Khaleeji cuisine (Eastern Arabian/traditional Arabic variant).
• Experience using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling).
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Very good communication skills.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping vegetables, peeling, cutting meat).
• Cook food with various utensils or grillers.
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn.
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before serving.
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Store all food and other items properly.
• Check the quality of ingredients.
• Monitor stock and place orders when shortages occur.
