Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
  • High School Certificate is mandatory.
  • Basic exposure to Inventory Management Systems like AMOS is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of civil aviation regulations and handling procedures for tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow SOPs accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining stock levels of tools and consumables for maintenance.
  • Carry out daily inspections of Tool Crib areas for safety and compliance.
  • Issue and receive tools and update the AMOS system.
  • Perform basic serviceability checks on tools before issue.
  • Prepare stock and activity reports while supporting corrective actions.

Job Purpose

The Junior Tool Crib Controller supports the day-to-day operations of the Tool Crib by assisting in the issuance, receipt, storage, and serviceability control of tools, toolboxes, kits, test equipment, and consumables. The role ensures tools are available, traceable, and maintained in accordance with Company procedures, AMOS system requirements, and safety standards, while supporting continuous maintenance operations.

Key Result Responsibilities
  • Assist in handling and maintaining stock levels of daily-use tools, toolboxes, kits, batteries, wheels, oils, and other Tool Crib consumables required for routine maintenance activities.
  • Ensure required tools and equipment are available, serviceable, and positioned on time to support maintenance tasks and safe aircraft release.
  • Carry out daily inspections of assigned Tool Crib areas to ensure correct storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, safety, health, and hazard controls.
  • Issue and receive tools, toolboxes, kits, and equipment as instructed by the Supervisor or AOG/Production control, updating the AMOS system accordingly.
  • Pre-load and update AMOS with planned maintenance requirements (ADD/MDD or equivalent tool demand) to ensure timely retrieval and issue.
  • Perform basic serviceability checks on tools and equipment prior to issue; immediately report unserviceable or damaged items to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure all tool and equipment movements, shelf-life status, calibration status, and shift handover details are accurately recorded in AMOS and the shift handover log.
  • Ensure all issued but unused tools and equipment are returned, inspected, and credited back into the system in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Support the Supervisor in maintaining Tool Crib cleanliness, safety measures, facility adequacy, and compliance with approved storage standards.
  • Provide ad‑hoc tool and equipment support to Airline and Third‑Party maintenance activities as required.
  • Prepare routine stock and activity reports; report system errors or discrepancies and support corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Work on a rotational 24/7 shift basis, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, to support continuous operations.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
  • Technical Diploma or Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • High School Certificate is a must.
  • Basic exposure to Inventory Management Systems (IMS) such as AMOS is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding or exposure to civil aviation regulations and Company procedures related to the handling, storage, and issuance of tools and equipment used for aircraft maintenance.
  • Fluent in English language.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft maintenance tools and tool control procedures.
  • Working knowledge of the AMOS system or willingness to be trained.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
  • Ability to work in a shift‑based, operational environment.
Work Experience
  • 1–2 years of relevant working experience in a Tool Crib, Tool Store, or maintenance support role within the airline or MRO environment is preferred
  • Prior experience using inventory or store management software will be considered an advantage.
