Job summary

So, we’re searching for a Junior Sous Chef with a passion for bold flavors, consistency, and teamwork to support the heart of McGettigan’s Kitchen. Whether it’s a busy service or a special event, you’ll help deliver high-quality dishes while keeping standards high and the kitchen running smoothly.

A little taste of your day-to-day:
  • Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Preparing and presenting dishes that meet McGettigan’s quality, taste, and brand standards
  • Leading and supervising kitchen team members during service and ensuring smooth workflow
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness
  • Monitoring with stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
  • Encouraging and responding to guest feedback in collaboration with the management team
What we need from you:
  • Degree or certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional training
  • 3–4 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a high-volume environment
  • Must speak fluent English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Previous experience in a senior chef de partie or supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and kitchen operations experience
