Job summary

Sowelo Consulting in Dubai is seeking a Junior React Native Developer to join our product team and help build cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android. You will work with senior developers, designers and product managers to deliver reliable mobile experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and learning through mentorship. You will translate Figma designs into responsive interfaces, integrate REST APIs, and contribute to code quality with testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Academic background or self-taught experience in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Basic proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript with practical React Native experience.
• Experience building mobile apps with React Native (academic, personal or professional).
• Familiarity with Git workflows and version control tools.
• Understanding of REST API integration and async programming.
• Ability to translate designs into mobile interfaces with responsiveness.
• Exposure to mobile debugging tools like Flipper or Chrome DevTools.
• Willingness to learn, attention to detail and good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
• Implement responsive screens and components based on Figma designs.
• Collaborate with senior developers to follow architecture and best practices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs using fetch or Axios with async/await.
• Use debugging tools to resolve issues across devices and sizes.
• Participate in bug fixing, regression testing and UI validation.
