Job summary

EDGE Group PJSC in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Production Engineer I to support production engineering activities, assembly execution, and shop-floor operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production.

You will provide technical support for readiness, data-pack reviews, engineering changes, discrepancy resolution, and performance monitoring with close collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Planning, Stores, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in production or technical environments.
• Familiarity with production processes, shop-floor operations, and manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Support production lines and assembly areas to execute plans, orders, and procedures.
• Maintain shop-floor readiness: materials, tooling, fixtures, and documentation.
• Review engineering/manufacturing data to identify discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Track discrepancies between engineering data and shop-floor records and coordinate resolutions.
• Conduct DFMA/DFM/DFA reviews to improve manufacturability and flow.
• Assist with readiness activities: materials, equipment, tools, PPE and quality requirements.
• Support changes and monitor shop-floor impact.
• Investigate issues, collect data, verify root causes, and support corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze production data (output, downtime, defects, rework, test failures).
• Support KPI improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity.
• Develop practical process improvements in material flow, layout, tooling, and 5S.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
