ALEC Holdings L.L.C – S.O. (ALEC) is seeking a Junior Planning Engineer to support scheduling across major UAE projects in Dubai. You will assist in developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum 2 years of planning or project coordination experience.
• GCC experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining detailed production schedules.
• Coordinate with production, procurement and design teams.
• Validate actual vs. planned performance with production leads.
• Document and file planning-related records accurately.
• Support in identifying delays, bottlenecks and risks to timelines.
• Participate in progress meetings and capture action points.
• Update planning tools with data and maintain look-ahead reports.
• Monitor subcontractor works against programmes and progress.

About Your Team

You’ll work within ALEC’s Planning Department, reporting to the Planning Manager and collaborating with production leads, store and procurement teams, and other site functions. Together, you’ll keep schedules aligned, records accurate, and progress measurable—helping to keep every aspect of the project on track.

Your Role

As Junior Planning Engineer, you will:

• Work closely with production leads to validate actual versus planned performance.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of all planning-related records.
• Assist in identifying delays, bottlenecks, and risks to project timelines.
• Participate in progress meetings and capture updates and action points.
• Support the planning team with data entry and system updates in planning tools.
• Coordinate with stores and procurement teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Track and update daily production progress, providing inputs for reports.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining detailed production schedules in line with project requirements.
• Prepare look-ahead reports and contribute to planning updates.
• Monitor and report on works against subcontractor and working programmes.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as required by your manager, aligned with the needs of the business.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in planning or project coordination.
• GCC experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Primavera P6.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow within the team.
• Exposure to EOT claim preparation.
• Experience working on complex construction projects.
