Job summary

• No prior masonry experience required.
• Must be able to communicate in basic English; Malayalee, Nepali preferred.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Study building plans and blueprints to determine materials required and layout of structure.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, gauges or chalk lines.
• Mix mortar or grout according to standard formulas and spread it onto surfaces using trowels.
• Lay bricks or other masonry units to build walls or arches.
• Cut or shape materials to fit specific measurements using hand or power tools.
• Finish surfaces by applying cement, stucco, stone veneer or other finishes.
• Repair and maintain existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones.
• Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment when working at heights or with hazardous materials.
