Job summary

XAL in Dubai is seeking a reliable Technical Application Engineer (all genders) to join our international sales team. In this junior role, you will support the team with project inquiries and specifications by creating quotations and layout drawings.

You will design lighting solutions, prepare submittals, and contribute to technical documentation. The position emphasizes customer-focused communication and strong teamwork within projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction, electrical, or lighting industry preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; DIALux evo and Relux are advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX and Salesforce.
• Skills in 3DS Max, Sketchup and Revit are advantageous.
• Experience preparing project submittal documentation.
• Basic understanding of lighting control and ELV systems.
• Fluent in English and strong customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with project submissions and technical documentation.
• Design lighting solutions that achieve required lighting levels and visual effects.
• Recommend suitable lighting solutions based on product portfolio and project requirements.
• Prepare complete project submissions, including quotations, lighting calculations, layout drawings, and technical documentation.
• Create professional product presentations for designers and clients.
• Provide technical support and communicate with designers, partners, and customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
