Job summary

Emirates in Dubai seeks a Junior GSE Maintenance Assistant to support equipment and aircraft maintenance. You will follow laid-down procedures to provide equipment to aircraft and assist in inspections and repairs under supervision.

The role requires basic engineering knowledge and the ability to read, write, and communicate in English. The position offers an opportunity to work in a safety-conscious environment with exposure to various maintenance activities in a busy hub, supporting Emirates’

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
• Basic working knowledge of electrical, mechanical or general engineering and maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Inform supervisor / team leader of difficulties or obstructions in work activities.
• Assist in arranging aircraft maintenance support equipment as advised by supervisor / team leader.
• Assist in daily inspection of all equipment per supervisor / team leader guidelines.
• Assist in provision of aircraft access equipment as instructed by supervisor / team leader.
• Assist in carrying out maintenance/repair work on equipment as directed by supervisor / team leader.
• Convey requests or queries from customers to supervisor / team leader clearly and accurately.
• Perform housekeeping in work areas and care for tools and equipment.
• Ensure instructions are understood and followed regarding tasks, allocations, duty timings, etc.
• Work safely and seek assistance or clarifications when in doubt.
• Ensure to accurately communicate and confirm completed/pending tasks to supervisor / team leader.

The Junior GSE Maintenance Assistant will assist in carrying out equipment maintenance and aircraft maintenance support by providing equipment to aircraft I.A.W laid down procedures.

In This Role You Will

• Inform supervisor / team leader of any difficulties or obstructions faced in performing any work-related activities.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• 10 Years schooling or equivalent
• 1 year Experience in Engineering. Other
• Basic working knowledge of electrical, mechanical or general engineering and maintenance activities, preferably.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
