Job summary

A manufacturing firm is seeking a candidate with a mechanical engineering background to manage project estimations and sourcing for prototypes and production in Ajman, UAE. You will analyze plans, negotiate with suppliers, and prepare cost sheets while ensuring compliance with project specifications. The ideal candidate has a degree/diploma in mechanical or related fields and at least two years of relevant experience. This position requires strong analytical and time management skills, alongside proficiency in purchasing software and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in similar industry (sheet metal & manufacturing).
• Familiarity with the UAE market related to our requirements.
• Practical experience with purchasing software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans and project documentation to estimate costs of prototypes and production.
• Research, negotiate and obtain best prices from suppliers.
• Prepare costing and estimation for all prototypes and production.

Job Responsibilities

• Bachelors degree in mechanical /Advance Diploma/ Diploma/Equivalent Technical Requirements
• Good understanding of techniques and methodology/sequence of works
• Managerial Experience
• Analyzing plans bills of quantities and other project documentation to estimate costs of Prototypes and Production
• Researching sourcing negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors by coordinating with the Purchaser
• Preparing Costing and Estimation for all Prototypes & Production.
• Materials & Components planning for all factory production.
• Ensure that the prototypes are as per the estimation.
• Prepare costing sheet as per requirements.
• Job number allocation to be entered on job card created in ERP.
• Material Requisition Updation in the ERP.
• Maintain Costing Sheet logbook for costing.
• Maintenance of records for verification of Estimation processes.
• Key Skills Good command of English written and spoken.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Efficient time management skills
• Computer literate (Auto cad MS projects & MS office)
