Job summary

The Emirates Group is seeking a maintenance assistant to support aircraft technicians in Dubai. You will assist with basic maintenance tasks on Emirates fleet and third-party aircrafts and components under supervision by a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

You will be responsible for following instructions, reporting defects, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, and assisting with tool handling and equipment care as required by maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Must alert the designated Engineer of any defects noted while carrying out tasks.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to minimize safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic maintenance tasks for aircraft and components as directed by senior staff.
• Alert the designated Engineer of any defects noted during tasks.
• Carry out cleaning of tools, equipment and components used.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to minimize safety hazards.
• Ensure cleanliness of vehicles and maintenance support equipment as required for the area.
• Assist in maintenance and usage of tools and equipment as required by tasks.
• Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, stowed, and spares returned to racks.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by supervisors to achieve work targets.
• Operate equipment, machinery and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Understand written or verbal instructions.

Assists aircraft technicians in carrying out maintenance activities on Emirates fleet and third party aircrafts and components in accordance with laid down procedures and regulations The role holder forms part of a team reporting to a Licensed Aircraft Engineer and always works under the supervision of a senior staff

• Carry out the cleaning of tools equipment components utilized
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment in order to minimize safety hazards
• Ensure cleanliness of vehicles and other maintenance support equipment as required for the respective area
• Assist in the maintenance and usage of tools and equipment as required by specific maintenance tasks
• Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned and properly stowed and spares are returned to racks
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the supervisors in order to achieve work targets
• Ability to operate equipment, machinery and tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to understand written or verbal instructions
