Job summary

AEJ Consulting Ltd seeks a Compliance Analyst in Dubai to support regulatory advisory, exchange rules, position limits, and reporting across commodity derivatives. You will be near trading desks, handling onboarding and surveillance with a hands-on, front-facing approach.

The role suits a recent graduate or someone with up to a year of experience, offering exposure to a commodity derivatives trading environment and trader training programmes early on to build product understanding.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in compliance, regulatory reporting, risk or trading ops.
• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• Genuine interest in commodities and derivatives markets and willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines with numerical data.
• Confident communication with traders, brokers and senior stakeholders.
• Competence in Excel; exposure to SQL or Python is a plus but not required.
• Awareness of FCA environment; knowledge of MiFID II, EMIR or exchange rulebooks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory guidance and exchange rule interpretations to international teams.
• Manage trader setup across multiple exchanges and execution platforms.
• Monitor exchange position limits across jurisdictions and coordinate exemptions.
• Ensure transaction reporting compliance for commodity derivatives, options, FX trades.
• Calculate capital adequacy under FCA and DFSA regulations.
• Perform daily market abuse surveillance and elevate alerts as needed.
• Develop onboarding processes for institutional and retail clients across services.
• Review Master Brokerage/Service Agreements with clients and providers.
• Support wider regulatory initiative projects and policy updates.
• Attend trader training to deepen product expertise and oversight.
