Job Overview:
As a Junior Auditor you will be part of the Finance & Audit team, assisting in the execution of audit procedures, reviewing financial and operational compliance, and supporting internal controls. You’ll play a key role in safeguarding the Group’s assets, supporting sustainable growth, and helping embed a culture of excellence and integrity across business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing internal audits across Legend’s various operating companies and business units
- Examine financial statements, ledgers, management reports and operational data for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Identify discrepancies, potential risks, inefficiencies or control weaknesses; document findings and collaborate with senior auditors to provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support preparation of audit reports, including clear summarization of findings and actionable suggestions.
- Assist in implementation and follow-up of internal control improvements and audit recommendation tracking.
- Ensure business units adhere to the Group’s core values (Loyalty, Excellence, Growth, Energetic, Nimble, Dignity) and sustainability/innovation standards when performing financial and operational activities.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Business Units) to gather data, coordinate audit logistics and ensure smooth audit workflows.
- Maintain audit documentation, working papers and audit files in line with best practice and internal audit standards.
- Stay informed about UAE (and relevant international) accounting, auditing and regulatory developments impacting the Group.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in auditing, accounting or finance (fresh graduates/internship experience welcomed).
- Basic understanding of auditing standards, accounting principles and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and identify issues.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fastmoving environment; ability to adapt and act with agility (reflecting the “nimble” value).
- Good communication (verbal and written) skills; able to interact with team members across business units.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with accounting/audit software is a plus.
- Integrity, ethical mindset and a strong sense of responsibility (aligned with the Group’s emphasis on dignity and loyalty).
- UAE working eligibility (or willing to relocate) and good command of English; Arabic language skills would be an advantage.
