AtkinsRéalis in the UAE is seeking a Junior Architect to join our growing team. You will assist in the design and development of architectural projects, providing technical input and creative solutions alongside senior architects and multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes design support, technical documentation, 3D modelling, site coordination, client liaison, and a commitment to sustainable design within UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• 8+ years of professional architecture experience in the UAE or GCC preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite; BIM knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design support: assist in development of architectural designs and concepts for diverse projects.
• Technical documentation: prepare drawings, specifications, and presentations under senior Architects; support tender docs and design reviews.
• 3D modelling & visualisation: develop 3D models and visualizations using Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino.
• Site coordination: assist in coordination between design and construction teams to ensure correct on-site implementation.
• Client liaison: work with clients, consultants and contractors to meet requirements, budget and timelines.
• Research & innovation: stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative ideas.
• Sustainability: contribute to sustainable design strategies ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

Job Description Overview

We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Architect to join our growing team in the UAE. The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of architectural projects, providing technical expertise and creative solutions while working closely with senior architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Your role

• Design Support Assist in the preparation and development of architectural designs and concepts for a variety of projects (residential, commercial, mixed-use, etc.).
• Technical Documentation Prepare drawings, specifications, and presentations under the guidance of senior architects. Support the preparation of tender documents and assist in design reviews.
• 3D Modelling & Visualisation Develop 3D models and architectural visualizations using software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and BIM.
• Site Coordination Assist in coordination between design and construction teams, ensuring that designs are correctly implemented at the site level.
• Client Liaison Work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring that architectural designs meet their requirements, budget, and timelines.
• Research & Innovation Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative ideas to the design process.
• Sustainability Contribute to sustainable design strategies, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and local regulations.

About you

• Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Experience 8+ years of professional experience in architecture, preferably in the UAE or GCC region. Internships or academic projects related to architecture will also be considered.
• Technical Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of BIM tools and processes is a plus.
• Design Skills Strong conceptual and technical design abilities, with a keen eye for detail and quality.
• Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present ideas and designs.
• Collaboration Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in the UAE.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices (LEED, Estidama, etc.).
