Overview
IT Specialist at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, part of the All-Inclusive Collection, you will manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the hotel’s IT systems and infrastructure. You will ensure seamless technology operations across all departments, support staff and guests with technical issues, and contribute to a smooth, efficient, and innovative SO/ brand experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems across the hotel.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues, including computers, servers, POS systems, PBX, and other technology platforms.
- Support hotel staff in using IT systems efficiently and provide technical guidance when required.
- Maintain and update the hotel’s network, Wi-Fi systems, and cybersecurity measures.
- Ensure proper backup, data storage, and recovery procedures are in place and functioning.
- Assist in the setup and support of audio-visual systems for meetings, events, and conferences.
- Collaborate with IT vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and technical support needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with IT security protocols, company policies, and data protection regulations.
- Provide technical support for guest-facing technology, including in-room entertainment and connectivity systems.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements to enhance operations.
- Uphold professional appearance, communication, and SO/ brand standards when interacting with staff and guests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience as an IT Specialist, IT Support, or similar role in hospitality or a corporate environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network administration, hardware, software, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with hotel management systems (PMS, POS, PBX) is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple IT tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
- Professional appearance and alignment with SO/ brand identity.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
