Swisslinx Middle East seeks an Investment Advisor / Portfolio Manager – Structured Products for its Dubai office, reporting to the Head of Investments. The role supports construction and ongoing management of portfolios for international clients, with a focus on structured products and European working hours.

The candidate will coordinate pricing, documentation and execution, work with RMs and compliance, and monitor performance across markets. Fluent English required; French a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in investment advisory or portfolio management with a focus on structured products or investment solutions.
• Experience in private banking or asset-management environments.
• Experience constructing, managing or rebalanceing portfolios of structured products.

Job description

On behalf of our client, a prestigious boutique external asset management firm based in the DIFC specialising in private banking and wealth-management solutions, Swisslinx Middle East is seeking an Investment Advisor / Portfolio Manager – Structured Products to join its growing Dubai office.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Investments, based in Dubai, and will support the construction, execution and ongoing management of investment portfolios for international clients. The role will have a particular focus on structured products and will operate primarily during European working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, manage and monitor client investment portfolios in line with investment objectives, risk profiles, investment mandates and suitability requirements.
• Provide investment advice and portfolio recommendations across structured products and, where relevant, other asset classes.
• Identify, assess and compare structured-product opportunities based on client objectives, portfolio strategy, risk appetite, liquidity requirements and expected returns.
• Communicate with banks, brokers, issuers and product providers to obtain indicative and final pricing, term sheets, product documentation and execution details.
• Coordinate the end-to-end process for structured-product transactions, including product selection, pricing, approval, launch, execution, allocation and settlement.
• Support the construction of bespoke portfolios and the allocation of structured products across client portfolios.
• Monitor product and portfolio performance, maturities, barriers, coupons, issuer exposure, credit risk, liquidity and relevant market developments.
• Review existing positions and recommend portfolio rebalancing, replacement, early redemption or reinvestment opportunities where appropriate.
• Participate in weekly portfolio-management meetings and quarterly investment-review meetings.
• Prepare investment proposals, portfolio reviews, market updates, performance commentary and materials for client and internal meetings.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers, Investment Management, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure efficient and compliant execution.
• Maintain accurate records of investment recommendations, client instructions, product terms, suitability assessments and transaction activity.
• Monitor European/ US markets and maintain strong working relationships with European issuers, counterparties and investment professionals.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the firm's structured-products offering, investment processes and portfolio-management framework.
• Ensure that all investment advice, portfolio decisions and transactions are conducted in accordance with client mandates, internal policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Candidate profile

To qualify for this position, you should demonstrate:

• 3–10 years of relevant experience in investment advisory or portfolio management role with focus on structured products or investment solutions.
• Experience gained in private banking or asset-management environments.
• Demonstrable experience in constructing, managing or rebalancing investment portfolios of structured products
• Ability and willingness to work European hours from Dubai, normally from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with reasonable flexibility when required.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills, French is a plus

Education and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics or a related discipline from a recognised university.
• CFA, CAIA or another relevant professional qualification would be advantageous.
