Job summary

A well-established construction chemicals company in Dubai is seeking a professional to develop and manage a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for key East African hubs. The role requires strong P&L accountability, extensive local market knowledge, and the ability to engage technical audiences. Ideal candidates will have 7–12 years of experience in the construction chemicals field and a degree in relevant engineering or chemistry disciplines, along with English fluency and some knowledge of Swahili. About Our Client:

Our client is a well-established construction chemicals company based in Dubai, serving the UAE and regional markets. The company specializes in delivering high-performance chemical solutions for the construction industry, including products used in infrastructure, commercial, and large-scale development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for key East African hubs, including Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda
  • Take full accountability for the region’s profit and loss (P&L) performance, including revenue growth and margin targets
  • Monitor local competitors as well as global players to refine pricing strategies and product positioning continuously
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage local distributors to ensure effective market coverage and product reach
  • Conduct on-site product trials, demonstrations, and technical engagements with customers and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Chemistry; an MBA is highly preferred
  • 7–12+ years of experience in construction chemicals, such as admixtures, flooring systems, sealants, or waterproofing solutions
  • Willingness to travel extensively, with 50%–70% regional travel across East Africa and active on-site involvement
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Swahili is a strong competitive advantage in the East African market
