Job description

The Interface Engineer will a Contractor position responsible for managing the interface between Company and Subcontractor in charge of a lump sum package for the development of Operating Manuals and Field Operation Procedures (approx. 200 documents).

He / she will ensure the technical quality, consistency, and compliance of the documents prior to client review. The role also includes managing the production schedule, integrating lessons learned, and optimizing documentation workflows.

LOCATION : The role is based in Abu Dhabi. Travel to Iraq is required.

Responsibilities :

  • Act as the main point of contact between Company, Contractor project team and the Subcontractor for the field operation documentation package.
  • Monitor progress and delivery of documentation in accordance with the project schedule and contractual requirements.
  • Review documents to ensure technical accuracy, structural consistency, and clarity, as per OPERGUID philosophy prior submission to the client.
  • Ensure application of project standards, regulatory requirements, and incorporation of relevant lessons learned.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the documentation development process to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal / external project disciplines to ensure technical alignment.
  • Follow up on comments, open actions, and document versions in coordination with Document Control.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Degree in Engineering, preferably Process.
  • Experience : Minimum 8-10 years in the Oil & Gas industry, with strong exposure to gas upstream operations.
  • Proven experience in writing, reviewing, or managing operating manuals and field procedures.
  • Exposure to commissioning activities is a strong asset.
  • Familiar with document control tools and platforms (PRODOM or similar).
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to work proactively.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
  • Previous experience with OPERGUID philosophy is a strong plus.
