Job summary

Wood is seeking graduates and engineers to assist in designing and developing instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas facilities. You will prepare instrument datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation while contributing to instrument index, I/O lists, and control philosophies.

For engineers, you will perform detailed engineering for DCS/PLC/ESD/SCADA/F&G, review vendor packages, support procurement, and participate in HAZOP, SIL, and constructability reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Internship or project experience in Oil & Gas, EPC industries is an advantage.
• 4-10 years of experience in Instrumentation & Control Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, LNG, Refinery, Offshore, Power, or EPC projects.
• Experience in FEED, Detailed Design, Brownfield, Greenfield, EPC, or Operations environments is highly preferred.
• Understanding of Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Index, Loop Diagrams, Control Narratives, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Cable schedules, Hook-Up Diagrams.
• Knowledge of IEC, ISA, API, IEEE, NFPA, SIL, Functional Safety Standards

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas facilities.
• Support the preparation and review of instrument datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Participate in the development of instrument index, I/O lists, cause & effect charts, and control philosophies.
• Assist in reviewing P&ID's, instrument loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and control system architecture.
• Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Piping disciplines.
• Participate in site surveys, inspections, and technical meetings.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities For Graduate and Engineers (0-3 Years)

Assist in the design and development of instrumentation and control systems for oil and gas facilities.

Support the preparation and review of instrument datasheets, specifications, and technical documentation.

Participate in the development of instrument index, I/O lists, cause & effect charts, and control philosophies.

Assist in reviewing P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and control system architecture.

Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and commissioning activities.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Piping disciplines.

Ensure compliance with company HSE, quality, and engineering standards.

For Engineers (4-10 Years)

Perform detailed engineering and design activities for instrumentation and control systems on Oil & Gas projects.
