Job summary

The Inspector – Civil, Structure and Tunnels Surveyor at AECOM in Dubai is responsible for verifying setting-out, levels, coordinates and as-built survey data to ensure construction is accurate and aligned with drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include producing survey reports, verification records, control point checks and handover documentation while coordinating with engineers, contractors and PMCs on a major infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction surveying or site inspection.
• Experience on large buildings, civil infrastructure, or tunnel projects is preferred.
• Proven ability to produce accurate survey records and reports.

Job Description

The Inspector – Civil, Structure and Tunnels Surveyor is responsible for verifying setting-out, alignment, levels, coordinates, and as-built survey data on behalf of the Engineer to ensure construction works are executed accurately and in compliance with approved drawings and specifications. Their duties will include the following.

• Verification and Production of Survey inspection reports
• Verification of Setting-out verification records
• Verification of Control point and benchmark verification reports
• Verification of Level and alignment check records
• Verification of Dimensional accuracy check reports
• Verification of As-built survey review records
• Production of Survey discrepancy or deviation reports
• Production of Daily site survey observation reports and records.
• Verification of Inspection request review records
• Verification of Survey activity logs
• Production of Progress measurement support records
• Production of Interface and coordination verification notes
• Production of Final as-built verification reports
• Verification and Production of Handover and closeout survey documentation

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• The Survey Inspector – Civil, Structure and Tunnels Surveyor will at least 5 years of relevant experience in construction surveying, site inspection, or engineering survey works, preferably on large buildings, civil infrastructure, transportation, tunnels and utility projects. Experience working with Consultants, PMCs, or supervision teams is preferred.

Key Knowledge and Skills:

• A proven track record of working on large-scale rail construction projects.
• Consistently demonstrate accuracy in survey verification, timely inspection and reporting, proactive identification of dimensional and alignment discrepancies, and effective coordination with contractors and project teams to ensure that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, survey controls, and project requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulations.
