Job summary

Orbitworks seeks an IT Administrator to own the systems, networks and technology that support our satellite manufacturing operations. You will keep infrastructure reliable, secure and recoverable while providing hands-on IT support across our offices, labs and the cleanroom.

This role suits someone who enjoys independent work, solving practical problems and balancing daily support with longer-term infrastructure improvements as Orbitworks scales.

Qualifications

• 6+ years IT experience with ownership of infrastructure.
• Hands-on backup, DR and restore testing experience.
• Strong networking skills: LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls and multi-WAN failover.
• Experience with Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with SSO, MDM and access controls for Mac/Windows.

Responsibilities

• Own IT infrastructure and connectivity: networks, firewalls, VPNs, and virtualization.
• Manage backups and disaster recovery across VMs, Google Workspace and on-site storage.
• Test recovery with monthly drills and quarterly continuity exercises.
• Maintain emergency site readiness and coordinate IT power resilience.
• Strengthen security with external partners and MFA controls.
• Deliver daily IT support for hardware, software, and collaboration tools.
• Support onboarding/offboarding and maintain labs' AV systems.
• Manage vendors, runbooks, audits and report to leadership.
• Support growth with infrastructure improvements for new offices and labs.
