Job summary

The Beckers Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for our paint manufacturing facility in the UAE. You will ensure smooth operation of electrical and mechanical equipment by performing preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance across production lines.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting motors and drives, maintaining pumps, chillers and control panels, and supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment. You will also uphold safety standards and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/paint/chemical/FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems: motors, drives, PLCs, control circuits and wiring.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and utilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, drives and control panels.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as pumps, mixers, grinders, compressors, ovens and dust collectors.
• Support installation, commissioning and modifications of new equipment.
• Monitor utilities (air compressors, chillers, HVAC) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and IMS policies.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts and consumables.
