Hedge Impact headhunting is facilitating the recruitment of an Impact Investment Director/Managing Director for a premier private equity platform with global flexibility, including Abu Dhabi and Casablanca. The role demands strategic leadership, governance, and hands-on execution across deal sourcing, structuring, and value creation.

The candidate will shape investment strategy, build proprietary deal flows, and represent the fund with DFIs and sovereign allocators while embedding UN SDG

Qualifications

• 10+ years in private equity or related investing roles, with track record across lifecycle.
• Deep experience in impact investing and SDG-aligned strategies.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, underwriting, and structuring skills.
• Experience exercising governance rights and board-level oversight.
• Sector expertise in climate tech, waste, water, energy, healthcare, or education.

Responsibilities

• Origination & deal sourcing across prioritized geographies with off-market access.
• Lead end-to-end evaluation, due diligence, valuation modeling, and structuring transactions.
• Oversee portfolio management, KPI monitoring, and value creation strategies.
• Design and manage exits and realizations with objective IRR/MOIC goals.
• Embed UN SDG Impact Standards and IRIS+ metrics in deal reporting.
• Support fund representation with LPs, DFIs, family offices and sovereign allocators.
