Job summary

A leading engineering management firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Engineer (HVDC) to lead CE marking, EU regulatory compliance, and certification activities for offshore HVDC systems. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include validating vendor certifications, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and maintaining compliance documentation. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in CE marking, certification, or regulatory compliance (offshore/renewables/HVDC preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of EU safety legislation (ATEX, PED, MED, CPR, DGUV V3).
  • Experience with DoC/CoC validation & technical file preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with EU directives (Machinery, LVD, ATEX, PED, MED, CPR).
  • Validate vendor equipment certifications and documentation.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, vendors, and certification bodies.
  • Lead risk assessments and prepare Declarations of Conformity (DoC).
  • Maintain compliance matrices, technical files, and traceability documents.
  • Oversee DGUV V3 and ATEX requirements for E&I.
