Purpose

We are seeking an experienced QHSE Specialist who will be responsible to ensure that

Aggreko's Jebel Ali Free Zone service centre (approximately 350 employees of different cultural backgrounds) comply with the company and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What you'll do
  • Support the implementation of key business HSE improvement projects.
  • Monitor compliance to HSE policies and procedures.
  • Lead investigations in relation to all incidents as well as identified risks and follow up on actions as required.
  • Carry out site HSE inspections and ensure that corrective actions are highlighted and managed effectively.
  • Provide proactive support and guidance on all matters related to HSE within the Jebel Ali facility.
  • Identify HSE training requirements for all relevant personnel.
  • Implement effective HSE communication and employee consultation.
  • Build effective relationships with the site management.
  • Passionately champion all aspects of HSE on our site.
  • Identify hazards and ensure necessary control measures are in place including risk assessments as well as method statements.
  • Identify continual improvement opportunities, and support implementation.
  • Provide support and direction for HSE Champions.
Stakeholders
  • Operations managers, supervisors and lead technicians.
  • QHSE Manager
  • HSE Officer - Jebel Ali.
  • Area / Regional Leaders.
  • External : local regulatory authorities and contractors / suppliers.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum five years of experience in related field (heavy equipment maintenance, repair and assembling) and preferably in JAFZA.
  • As a minimum NEBOSH International Diploma Qualification or similar qualification in OH&S Management is required.
  • Jebel Ali Free Zone based job but requires visits to other sites as and when required.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent command of English language, spoken and written. Fluent command of local language is an advantage.
  • Computer literate, quality oriented with attention to details and capable of working to deadlines.
