Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced HSE professional to ensure strict compliance with Trakhees, Dubai Municipality, and UAE HSE laws. You will conduct workplace inspections, implement safety policies, and lead risk assessments and PTW processes across our facility.

The role requires 3+ years in HSE, NEBOSH certification, and strong communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus. You will also coordinate with authorities and deliver HSE training, audits, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Technology, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of practical HSE/Safety experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• NEBOSH certification is mandatory.
• 1-year Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations, Trakhees requirements, Dubai Municipality regulations, and applicable industrial safety standards.
• Practical experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), workplace inspections, HSE audits, incident investigation, and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Good knowledge of chemical and dangerous goods handling, storage, labeling, SDS/MSDS, PPE, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
• Experience in conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks, HSE training, and safety awareness programs.
• Excellent English communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with workers from different nationalities and languages.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
• Strong observation, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with management, employees, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Immediate availability will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in Trakhees-approved industrial facilities will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Trakhees Health & Safety requirements, Dubai Municipality regulations, and applicable UAE HSE laws.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices throughout the facility.
• Conduct risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for activities and operations and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Issue and monitor Hot Work, Cold Work, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) permits for non-routine and high-risk activities.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and maintain proper records.
• Maintain and monitor first aid facilities, eyewash stations, emergency showers, fire safety equipment, and PPE.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, and documentation of chemicals and dangerous goods, including updated SDS/MSDS records.
• Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and safety observations and prepare reports for management.
• Develop and conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and workers.
• Monitor compliance with PPE requirements and ensure employees follow established safety procedures.
• Support emergency preparedness, fire drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response activities.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, registers, permits, inspection reports, training records, and incident documentation.
• Liaise with Trakhees, Dubai Municipality, and other authorities regarding inspections, approvals, and compliance.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure of identified HSE issues.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental practices.
