Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is looking for an experienced HSE Officer for offshore operations in the United Arab Emirates. The role entails establishing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards, supporting incident investigations, and promoting a proactive safety culture. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of offshore HSE experience. NEBOSH certification is preferred, along with strong communication and training skills. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' offshore HSE experience required.
  • ADNOC Offshore approval is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Additional HSE training or certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct HSE orientation, induction, and awareness sessions.
  • Ensure all employees are informed of their HSE responsibilities.
  • Assign fire wardens and first aiders; develop emergency checklists.
  • Monitor adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support incident reporting and promote a proactive safety culture.

HSE Officer - Offshore

Location: UAE

Contract: Permanent / Full-time

Role Purpose

Support offshore operations by implementing, monitoring, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. Promote a strong safety culture, provide guidance and training, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, or HSE discipline from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 8 years' offshore HSE experience
  • ADNOC Offshore approval preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong knowledge of Work Management Systems
  • NEBOSH Diploma or IGC certification
  • Additional HSE training or certifications advantageous
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct HSE orientation, induction, and awareness sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Ensure employees are informed of their HSE responsibilities and rights, including the right to refuse unsafe work
  • Assign fire wardens, first aiders, and develop emergency checklists; train staff on their roles and responsibilities
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actionsPromote a proactive safety culture across offshore operations
