HSE Manager – Water & Wastewater Projects - PMC Role, Abu Dhabi & Al Ain
Responsibilities
- This role is part of the Program Management Services for Emergency Projects.
- Develop and manage program-level HSE framework
- Review contractor HSE plans and procedures
- Monitor HSE performance and trends
- Support incident investigation and corrective actions
- Provide HSE input to PMC reporting
- Provide HSE governance and technical assurance for emergency works executed under live operational conditions
- Support integration of HSE risk considerations into design, construction sequencing, and commissioning strategies
- Review emergency response and contingency plans prepared by DB/DBO Contractors and Supervision Consultants from a governance perspective
- Monitor HSE risks associated with temporary pumping, over‑pumping, and live system interfaces
- Support the client in assessing HSE implications of change proposals and alternative construction methodologies
- Participate in high‑level HSE reviews, audits, and safety leadership meetings as part of the PMC
- Support investigation and close‑out of significant incidents or near‑misses with potential program‑wide implications
- Provide HSE input into program risk registers, dashboards, and executive reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in major infrastructure programs, preferably wastewater/water sectors.
- Strong experience in PMC roles for water and wastewater projects
- NEBOSH or equivalent certification
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with Abu Dhabi authorities and standards
- GCC experience, preferably in Abu Dhabi
