A leading engineering consultant in Abu Dhabi is seeking an HSE Inspector to oversee safety practices and compliance on construction sites. In this role, you will implement HSE policies and liaise with contractors to enhance safety management and performance. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant degree, NEBOSH certification, and over 5 years of experience in construction supervision. Parsons is looking for a talented HSE Inspector to join our team! In this role you will liaise with the Safety Manager and contractors for the improvement and implementation of corporate HSE management ethics.
Implement Aldar and Parsons HSE Policy, HSE Plan, and HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance and HSE targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.
Liaise with Safety Manager and contractors for the improvement and implementation of corporate HSE management ethics.
Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable safety measures and best practices.
Review hazard analysis / risk assessment plan for all key activities and monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures, job safety plans, and work method statements at the site and carry out HSE visits and report to the Resident Engineer for immediate rectification.
Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspections/reports.
Conduct monthly safety meetings, set targets to achieve outstanding issues, prepare and submit the minutes to all concerned for follow‑up.
Review emergency preparedness and response, permit to work system, toolbox talks, HSE meetings, HSE statistics and records of the contractors according to company requirements.
Review incident/accident investigation reports from contractors, report and communicate the learning points, and monitor immediate action and follow‑up actions to minimise/prevent re‑occurrence.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma of any relevant discipline from a recognised university.
Relevant health and safety education, certifications (ADVETI), licence or training in UAE (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHAD - Qudorat/ADOSH, first aid, fire safety, etc).
Holding certification of NEBOSH IGC (Level 3) or above.
At least 5+ years of construction supervision experience working as a safety inspector.
Able to attend physical interviews in Abu Dhabi.
Preferably with relevant experience working in an engineering consulting firm.
Preferably with experience in the UAE and a driving licence is an advantage.
