Foreground is partnering with a UAE-based drilling contractor to appoint a Director HSE in Abu Dhabi. This role will be responsible for directing safety and environmental programs across a fleet of offshore and onshore rigs in the Emirates.

About the Role

The Director will ensure best-in-class health safety and environmental practices driving compliance and performance across all operational sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee implementation of HSE programs across all rig operations.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC regulations and international safety standards.
  • Lead incident investigation processes and implement lessons learned.
  • Monitor HSE KPIs and provide executive reports on performance.
  • Support operations and asset teams in developing safe systems of work.
  • Manage audits certifications and regulatory inspections.
  • Lead HSE capability development ensuring strong competency frameworks across the workforce.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 18 years in HSE leadership with experience in drilling and rig operations.
  • Strong knowledge of ADNOC safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Engineering or HSE-related degree; NEBOSH/IOSH certifications required.
