Job summary

Velosi is seeking a qualified HSE trainer to deliver Arabic-language training in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role requires planning, delivering, and assessing HSE courses in line with TAQA Distribution requirements, with emphasis on hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s in OHS or related field, with NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent, and at least five years of HSE experience, including training delivery to staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.
• Recognized HSE qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
• Train-the-trainer or instructional delivery qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years HSE experience in utilities/oil & gas sectors.
• At least 3 years delivering HSE training to personnel.
• Familiarity with Permit to Work, risk assessments, and electrical safety.
• Arabic fluency required for technical HSE content delivery.
• Experience with UAE clients or large industrial organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver HSE training courses per TAQA Distribution requirements.
• Conduct classroom, practical, and toolbox training sessions.
• Facilitate training on HSE policies, safe work practices, hazard identification, and incident prevention.
• Explain and reinforce applicable HSE procedures and operational requirements.
• Use presentations, case studies, and assessments to improve learning outcomes.
• Deliver training in a clear, engaging manner in Arabic.

Job Responsibilities

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Recognized HSE qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or an equivalent qualification appropriate to the assignment.
• Relevant train-the-trainer or instructional delivery qualification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in utilities, electrical distribution, power, infrastructure, or oil and gas sectors.
• At least 3 years of experience delivering HSE training to employees, contractors, or operational personnel.
• Demonstrated experience in developing or delivering HSE presentations, assessments, and practical training activities.
• Familiarity with Permit to Work systems, risk assessments, electrical safety, isolation procedures, and workplace hazard controls.
• Fluent Arabic speaker, able to deliver technical HSE content clearly in Arabic.
• Experience working with UAE clients, utility companies, or large industrial organizations is an advantage.
