Job summary

  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies and benefits.
  • Support the performance appraisal process and maintain performance records.

Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing diversified group of companies including real estate development, real estate brokerage, and other business segments/areas based in Dubai United Arab Emirates and having operations and business activities in many other countries/locations worldwide. Our client is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Officer to join their Human Capital Management team. This is a permanent full-time role based in Dubai United Arab Emirates.

Job Summary

The HR Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Human Capital Management department. This role involves a wide range of HR functions from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and administrative tasks, all in compliance with UAE labor laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, discreet and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Assist in the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, posting advertisements on relevant platforms (local and international), screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interviews.
  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, employment contracts, visa applications (if applicable), and conducting new employee orientation sessions.
  • Ensure all necessary new hire paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
HR Administration and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Process HR-related documentation such as employment certificates, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and other employee requests.
  • Manage and track employee attendance, leave records (annual, sick, maternity, paternity, etc.) and overtime.
  • Prepare HR reports as required by management (e.g., headcount, turnover, leave utilization).
Employee Relations and Support
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures and benefits.
  • Assist in resolving employee grievances and disciplinary issues in accordance with company policies and the UAE labor law.
Performance Management

Support the performance appraisal process, including scheduling reviews and maintaining performance records.

Exit Management

Coordinate the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit communications, final settlement calculations and handover procedures.

General HR Support

Undertake any other HR-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an HR Officer or similar HR role in the UAE.
  • Solid understanding of UAE Labor Law.
  • Experience in the real estate or property development industry is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain confidentiality.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proactive, adaptable and a team player.
  • Problem-solving attitude and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
