The Role

The HR Generalist will support HR operations across Wego’s global offices, with a primary emphasis on the UAE and KSA. The role focuses on visa processing, compliance, documentation and policy optimisation. This position requires an organised and proactive HR professional who can manage HR operations independently while continuously improving processes and documentation. Experience working with Free Zone visa structures is mandatory.

What you will be working on
Visa and Compliance
  • Manage visa processes across Free Zones for new hires, renewals and cancellations
  • Support Mainland visa processes where required
  • Act as a key HR contact for visa and compliance matters across global offices, with emphasis on UAE and KSA
  • Liaise with relevant authorities such as Free Zone entities, MOHRE and GDRFA to ensure accurate and timely submissions
  • Maintain visa records and compliance documentation to ensure audit readiness
HR Operations and Documentation
  • Build, maintain and update HR SOPs and internal documentation
  • Conduct document audits and support regulatory or internal compliance reviews
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data across regions
  • Support payroll inputs, leave tracking and operational HR tasks
  • Use automation tools such as n8n to streamline HR workflows where appropriate
Stakeholder Support and HR Advisory
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR processes and policy interpretation
  • Advise stakeholders on labor law requirements with a strong focus on UAE and KSA and awareness of global compliance needs
  • Resolve HR-related queries and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Engagement and Office Support
  • Support employee engagement initiatives across offices when required
  • Assist with office administration tasks in collaboration with Workplace teams
Process Review and Optimisation
  • Review HR processes regularly and recommend efficiency improvementsSupport updates to HR policies to ensure alignment with local and regional regulations
Core Responsibilities
  • Manage Free Zone visa processes and support Mainland visas where required
  • Ensure compliance and documentation accuracy across global offices, with emphasis on UAE and KSA
  • Maintain SOPs, HR records and audit readiness
  • Provide HR advisory and operational support to stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement through efficient processes and automation
Skills and experience
  • 2 to 5 years of HR experience with strong exposure to HR operations and visa management
  • Mandatory experience managing visas under TECOM or other Free Zone authorities
  • Mainland UAE visa experience is a strong advantage
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor law with working knowledge of KSA labor regulations
  • Awareness of global labor compliance requirements across multiple regions
  • Proven ability to build and maintain SOPs and compliant documentation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Proficient in HR systems, MS Office and government portals
  • Basic familiarity with automation or coding concepts for n8n is preferred
