A prominent educational institution is seeking an HR Coordinator to support the HR Manager and ensure the efficient operation of HR processes. The successful candidate will oversee recruitment, maintain employee records, and handle sensitive information. Previous experience in an administrative HR role in the UAE is preferred, along with strong organisational and communication skills. The role offers opportunities for professional development within a dynamic educational environment.
At GEMS World Academy, Abu Dhabi, we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, dynamic learning community where every student feels valued, challenged, and supported. Situated on Al Reem Island, our school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework alongside elements of the British curriculum, providing students with a well-rounded and globally focused education.
We are inviting applications from experienced and dedicated HR Coordinators to join our exceptional team from January 2026.
The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting staff and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes in line with the GEMS WAA's vision for excellence, inclusivity, and future‑focused education. This role involves overseeing day‑to‑day HR administration, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with GEMS Education standards and UAE labour regulations.
With access to advanced HR systems, professional development pathways, and the collaborative support of the wider GEMS network, the HR Coordinator will work closely with the HR Manager, school leadership, and central support teams to deliver a high‑quality HR service. The role also requires liaising with staff, government relations, and external providers to facilitate visa processing, insurance, and other employee services.
Additionally, the HR Coordinator will play an important part in staff engagement by supporting induction, handling staff queries with professionalism and discretion, and ensuring that HR practices reflect the values of care, respect, and innovation that define the WAA community.
